Which data I process and why
Visiting the website. With every request the web server logs technical details such as IP address, time, page requested and browser. This serves secure operation and the prevention of abuse. The log files are deleted after a short time.
Contact. If you write to me via the form, by email or by phone, I use your details to answer the enquiry and to be able to get in touch with you again later. I keep the correspondence as long as it is useful for the business relationship or legal obligations require it; on request I delete it.
Statistics. I measure the use of the website with self-operated statistics software in Switzerland: without cookies, with a shortened IP address and without visitor profiles. This shows me, for example, which pages are read and whether visitors come via search engines or AI assistants. The raw data is deleted after a few months. I also evaluate the server log files to detect automated access.
Interaction. To improve the website, I record how visitors use the pages: clicks, scrolling and mouse movements, but no form entries and no revealed contact details. For this I use a service provider with servers in the EU (Germany). No cookies are set; the recordings are deleted after one year at the latest.
Disclosure
Hosting and email run with a provider in Switzerland that processes this data on my behalf. The service provider for recording interactions has its servers in Germany (EU, adequate level of data protection). Beyond that I do not pass on personal data, unless I am legally obliged to do so.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies. That is why there is no cookie banner.
Your rights
You can request information about your personal data and ask for its correction or deletion. To do so, send me an email (). The supervisory authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Last updated: October 2026. I adapt this policy when the services used change. This English version is a translation for convenience; the German version is legally binding.
