Orders in the mailbox, stock in Excel, invoices in the accounting program, and nobody knows what is currently in stock. An ERP brings this together: one product master, one order flow, one figure for stock.

I start with your workflows, not with a product. From that follows whether a trading ERP such as JTL or Xentral fits, or a broad system such as Odoo or ERPNext that also covers projects, service and HR. I sell no licences and am not tied to any manufacturer.

Odoo, ERPNext, Xentral or JTL: which suits us?
Roughly: JTL and Xentral for retailers whose daily business is shaped by shop, stock and shipping. Odoo and ERPNext for companies with projects, service, production or several areas under one roof. The decision is made after a requirements catalogue and a test with your data.
What does an ERP implementation cost?
That depends on data volume, interfaces and customisations. I quote by effort, with a concept in advance that lists licences, implementation and running costs separately. ERPNext and Odoo Community have no licence costs; Odoo Enterprise, Xentral and JTL extensions are subscriptions.
Can we host an ERP ourselves?
Yes. Odoo Community and ERPNext run on your own server or with a Swiss host; the data stays with you. I set this up, including backups, updates and secure remote access. Those who do not want to run it themselves take the manufacturer's cloud version.
How long does the switch take?
That depends on data volume and interfaces. From requirements catalogue to switch date, a trading company with shop and stock should expect a few months, production or several locations more. I plan the implementation so that daily business continues.
